Questions are part of the process.
Here are the things clients most often want to know before starting a custom website, app, event experience, or digital tool.
Do I need to know whether I need a website, app, or custom tool?
No. Describe the goal, audience, and what you want people to be able to do. We can help determine which type of build makes the most sense.
How much will my project cost?
Our Pricing page and estimator provide starting guidance. The final price depends on the approved scope, features, content, integrations, design complexity, and timeline. You receive pricing in writing before paid work begins.
Do you require a deposit?
Some projects may require an initial payment or deposit, while others may use milestone or full-payment arrangements. The exact schedule is stated in your project-specific Statement of Work or invoice.
How are online payments handled?
Card and supported digital-wallet payments are handled through Square-hosted checkout or Square invoices. Purpose Built Digital does not ask you to submit full card numbers through ordinary website forms, email, text, or shared documents.
Can I cancel a project after signing?
Yes. Our standard agreement includes a client convenience-cancellation option. Unless a project-specific agreement says otherwise, the standard cancellation fee is $50 and will not exceed the unpaid project balance. After completed cancellation, no further unpaid Purpose Built Digital project installments are due. Your signed agreement controls the exact terms, including previously earned payments and authorized third-party costs.
How many revisions are included?
That depends on the project. Included revision rounds or revision expectations are defined in the Statement of Work so both sides know what is covered before the build begins.
Who owns the finished work?
Project-specific ownership and licensing are stated in the agreement. In general, client-supplied content remains the client’s property, while reusable Purpose Built Digital methods, frameworks, tools, and non-client-specific components remain reusable by Purpose Built Digital.
How long does a project take?
It depends on size, complexity, response time, content readiness, and third-party dependencies. The expected timeline is discussed during scoping and included in the project plan when practical.
Can you work with clients outside Upstate New York?
Yes. Purpose Built Digital can work remotely with clients regardless of location when the project and required services are a good fit.
Can you maintain or update the project after launch?
Yes. Ongoing maintenance, content changes, future phases, and as-needed support can be arranged separately depending on the project.
What if my project is unusual?
That is welcome. Purpose Built Digital is built around custom work. If the idea does not fit neatly into a standard website or app category, start with the goal and we can explore what would make sense.
